The first time I visited Ireland, I fell in love. Not only did I fall in love with Ireland, I fell in love with TRAVEL. Traveling Ireland led me on the path to where I am now; living and working in New Zealand. There’s something about exploring the Emerald Isle that epitomises everything that’s awesome about travelling.
Ireland is the kind of place where it’s easy to meet the locals, get around and there’s always a freshly poured Guinness waiting for you at the end of each day.
In the last six months or so, I’ve become a massive fan of Instagram. It’s an awesome way to share photos, and the ‘barrier for entry’ is so much lower than sitting down and writing a full blog post. I can take one of my favorite photos from the day or the latest adventure I’ve been on, and write-up a mini-blog to feature alongside the photo.
I’ve been to Milford Sound many times in my five years living in New Zealand. It’s arguably one of the most beautiful places in the country, and certainly on the South Island. I’ve climbed Mitre Peak and driven the Milford Sound Road – one of the most incredible drives in the world – countless times.
You too should visit Milford Sound when you come to New Zealand.
I’m struggling to tell the story of my recent overnight cruise in Doubtful Sound. This is one place in New Zealand that until a couple weeks ago, I’d never been to. And now that I’ve been, I’m at a loss for words of how to adequately describe the raw, majestic beauty of this area of New Zealand’s South Island. There’s really no way this post will do the experience justice, but I’ll try.
Last weekend, I ventured down to the head of Lake Wakatipu with two mates for a hike-n-fly mission near Glenorchy – a super scenic little town about an hour away from Queenstown.
