Today’s Friday Travel Photo was taken somewhere on the largest island in the Mediterranean – Sicily. Like much of Italy, the Sicilian region has many characteristics that are different than other regions in Italy. In some respects, a visit to Sicily is like a visit to a different country. Either way, it’s a beautiful place that begs to be explored.

Looks like a nice day.
Absolutely beautiful!
Ah Italia, I dream of you…..and Sicily, one day one day. For now, I am just trying to find the day that I can set foot in Italy again (anywhere in Italy!)!!
omg wooowww!! what a flashback! I use to live in Sicily this is near the tourist town of Toarmina. Im not able to see the tip of the island because of the flowers but there is a house built right on top of that island.
That’s exactly right! I actually spent the night sleeping in a hammock tent on that island. You’re able to walk out to it at low tide. Small world!
This is beautiful! I almost spent a summer there doing an internship. I’m kicking myself for not doing it now!
That would have been fantastic! I have a dream of opening a hostel in Sicily. There were so few of them when I was down there.
